Ric Wilkinson

Ric Wilkinson brings more than twenty four years of experience as a paramedic, field instructor, and program manager. His career began in volunteer fire before he found his purpose in patient care and instruction. Since then, he has taught at every level, earned a Master’s degree in Emergency Management, and built a reputation as a clear and grounded voice in public safety.

Ric is known for his belief in raising professional standards, improving culture, and preparing new providers for the parts of the job no textbook warns them about. He speaks openly about burnout, communication, and the emotional weight that comes with serving others. He has a talent for breaking complex topics into real, usable lessons that make both new and seasoned responders better at what they do.

His teaching philosophy is simple. Listen more than you speak. Stay teachable no matter how long you have been in the field. Lead with compassion. Positivity, when backed by action, creates real change.

Ric continues to mentor, teach, and advocate across the country through Priority Medical Training and through his online platform, The Motivated Paramedic, where his goal is to lift the profession one provider, one agency, and one honest conversation at a time.
